Vegetarian Guides at London Vegan Festival England, 19 August 2007

10am-8pm. Kensington Town Hall, Hornton Street, London W8. Festival of vegan food and products, a great day out. 70 stalls include all kinds of vegantastic hot and cold food, juice bar, The Vegan Society, vegan clothing and shoes, plus speakers and music.

UK National Vegetarian Week 22-28 May 2006

Britain still leads Europe as the best place to eat out as a vegetarian, says Vegetarian Guides founder Alex Bourke as he launches the third edition of the best-selling guide to eating and staying vegetarian or vegan in Britain: Vegetarian Britain 2006. The new guide has appeared in many newspapers and magazines including The Times travel section (6 May), Daily Express, Observer (28 May), and Alex spoke on BBC radio stations about how easy it is to be vegetarian in Britain.

World Vegetarian Congress Brazil November 2004

The International Vegetarian Union World Vegetarian Congress was held 8-14th November in Brazil at the Costão de Santinho Resort & Spa, Santinho Beach, Florianopolis.
Vegetarian Guides founder Alex Bourke led workshops in Brazil on publishing a vegetarian guide for your town, veganism for beginners, leadership for vegan activists, showed our film Animal Rights and spoke on The Way of the Vegan. He repeated the workshops a week later to a big group of activists in Sao Paolo, this time in Portuguese.
